SPECIAL NOTE ON MILD INTERVENTIONS LICENSING: This is a dual certification program meaning that teacher candidates must complete the Teaching Diverse Learners Program alongside one of the above certification programs. It does not "stand alone". All courses must be completed to obtain dual licensure. To be licensed in P-12 Mild Interventions, completers must:
- Complete a dual assignment student teaching course (EDU 458)
- Pass the Praxis exam #5625 P-12 Principles of Learning and Teaching (pedagogy) instead of the Elementary Ed or Secondary Ed exams.
- Pass the Praxis exam # 5355 "Special Education: Foundational Knowledge"
- Pass the Praxis content area exam(s) in the teaching area (Elementary Ed, Mathematics, History, etc.).
